Explorers Festival Film Submissions

The Explorers Festival will take place in Húsavík from November 6 to 10, 2024. This is the 10th edition of the festival and the third year that we have a Film Festival as part of the events, celebrating films that explore themes of adventure, space, and science.

The Explorers Festival has featured notable films such as the Neil Armstrong biopic First Man, Kon-Tiki, Into the Inferno, Cosmic Birth, and Secrets of a Frozen Ocean. We are looking for new submissions that tell powerful stories of exploration and discovery.

We offer several awards, including Best Film, Best Storytelling, Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. These awards recognize excellence in filmmaking and storytelling.

Submissions are open now to all films that fit our theme. We encourage filmmakers to submit their work and join us in celebrating the spirit of exploration. Share your film and become a part of our journey at the Explorers Festival.
