Volunteering at The Exploration Museum

Do you dream of visiting Iceland? Are you fascinated by explorers and adventurers who dared to go where no one had ventured before? Then you might consider joining our volunteer program.

The Exploration Museum is a registered non-profit organization, looking for volunteers that want to contribute their talents, knowledge, enthusiasm and energy to building a better museum. In addition to welcoming visitors, museum volunteers work with staff members on both short-term and long-term projects, as well as working on new exhibitions, writing and research.

Duration of volunteer work can vary from 2 weeks to 2 months and is ongoing all year. The museum provides foreign volunteers (and those who do not live in Húsavík) with accommodation and breakfast every morning.

Requirements: Fluent in English and over 18 years of age.
